Marco Tavora is a Brazilian theoretical physicist and data scientist. He obtained his Ph.D. from New York University in 2015 under the supervision of Aditi Mitra. His research was on quantum many-body systems out of equilibrium. Subsequently, he spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at Yeshiva University (2015-2017) under the supervision of Lea F. Santos. He has published several articles in some of the most prestigious peer-reviewed journals in the world.
